​You will complete three self-assessment throughout the length of the course.

These self-assessments will ask you to engage and reflect on your learning in the class, with yourself and others. 

​

The set of self-assessment questions will be offered two weeks in advance of the assessment's due date. 

​

Self-assessments are worth 5% each, and 15% total toward your final grade.

Your commonplace book is worth 20% of your final grade. 

Final Project options will be available after week 6. 

​

In addition to completing a final project, you will also present your work to the class during our last meeting. 

​

Your final project, including a draft, is worth 30% of your final grade. Your project presentation is worth 10%. Guidelines for your presentation will be distributed after week 8. 

Every week, you will be asked to physically annotate a selection of text from our readings. Guidelines for annotation can be found here.

Your annotation should be included in your commonplace book, which comes to class with you every week.
